The pectus spiral
most people get stuck in.

You keep losing time hopping from website to website, reading incomplete information about pectus. Do any of these sound familiar?

Your pectus is getting worse
Your chest and posture are worsening from the wrong workouts in the gym, and your motivation is draining with it.
The vacuum bell won't work for you
You've read the studies showing vacuum bell therapy works, but you struggle to make it work on your own chest.
You keep procrastinating
The non-surgical treatment feels complicated, so you put it off and lose valuable time.
You're unsure which methods to trust
You have mild or moderate pectus that can be improved non-surgically, but you're not sure which methods actually help.
You can't gain weight
Even with dedicated training, you struggle to gain weight because of bad workouts and poor nutrition.
It follows you into dating
You know pectus doesn't define your worth, but it still gets in the way of dating and relationships.
There is a way out

You don't have to piece it
together from scraps.

You need one complete A-Z, tried-and-tested roadmap focused strictly on correcting pectus excavatum non-surgically - so you know you aren't skipping or missing a single step.

1,127 pages, one complete roadmap
A-Z nothing skipped, nothing missing
02 / Look inside

What 1,127 pages

started at 19 with a chest i couldnt look at in the mirror. went with the excavatum course cus everyone kept telling me nothing but surgery works and i didnt buy it. 5 months of doing the work most days and my chest sits noticeably flatter now - the surgeon who told me wait and see at 17 wouldnt recognise it. only regret is i didnt start the day i turned 17

honest review. 5 months of consistent bell use and my depth has barely moved. im 35 and my chest wall is stiff, which the guide does warn about upfront. the posture and breathing side genuinely helped and i dont regret the money, but i wouldnt tell someone my age to expect what the teenagers are getting

Before You Start · Straight Answers

What people ask
before they begin.

The four that come up most, answered the same way I would answer them on a call.

Take the 60-second quiz
How long before I see a change? +

Posture and breathing shift first - most people feel that inside the first few weeks. Visible chest change is slower. In the case log above, Milo saw his first real change at 2 months, Ian at 6, Liam at 9. The programs run 16 weeks because that is roughly how long it takes for the training to show up in the mirror.

Am I too old for this to work? +

Almost certainly not. The clients documented on this page were 22 to 32 when they started. Cartilage does stiffen with age, so progress is slower the older you are - but slower is not the same as stopped. What changes is the timeline, not whether it is worth doing.

Do I need a gym, or can I do this at home? +

Either works. Every program ships with a gym track and a no-equipment track for the same 16 weeks, so you pick the one that matches what you actually have access to. You can switch between them mid-program without losing your place.

Pectus excavatum, carinatum, rib flare - is it the same plan? +

No, and that matters. A sunken chest and a protruding chest need close to opposite work, and rib flare often rides along with both. There is a separate program for each. If you are not sure which one you have, the 60-second quiz sorts it out and points you at the right starting place.

05 / 5 key focus areas

Five things you fix,
one complete system.

Most people struggle to understand and act on these five areas. The book covers every one of them, from A to Z.

A barbell, bench and dumbbells representing pectus exercises
01

The best exercises

The most effective exercises for pectus save time and improve your chest faster, with less wasted effort. Building chest muscle won't pull the breastbone out, but it makes the indentation less noticeable, and the right exercises correct the muscular imbalances that make the deformity worse.

A stylised spine representing posture correction
02

Fix poor posture

Poor posture makes your deformity look more severe. We hide it by rounding the shoulders and pushing the head forward - what I call pectus posture. Inside are proven exercises to undo that unhealthy posture and stand taller with more confidence.

A rib cage held in a corrective brace
03

Fix flared ribs

Protruding ribs can make pectus excavatum look deeper than it is. The most effective way to treat flared ribs is with bracing, using Dr. Sydney Haje's Orthopectus dynamic remodeling method. I review the best braces and exactly how to use them.

A vacuum bell applied to a rib cage
04

Vacuum bell therapy

Vacuum bell therapy pulls the sternum out of the dent, non-surgically. Used consistently and correctly, alongside the other methods, it can eventually flatten your chest. I cover everything from buying the right one to using it while you sleep.

08 / How a chapter runs

Focus on what matters:
doing it, then checking it.

Ninety-three chapters sounds like a lot to get through. It is not, because a chapter is short by design: one idea, shown, with the thing to go and do at the end of it.

  1. Read 2-8 min

    One idea per chapter

Plain language, and any medical term gets explained the first time it appears. You do not need to have read anything else about pectus first.

  2. See it Photo

    Shown, not described

102 illustrations and 311 photos, so a position or a device setting is something you look at and copy rather than something you interpret from a paragraph.

  3. Do it Today

The thing to go and do

Chapters end with the action, not a summary. Most of them are things you can do the same evening you read them.

  4. Check it Sources

    The references, at the end

Every chapter closes with its own citation list, 741 in total. If a claim matters to you, the paper it came from is named right there.

It is a PDF. No app, no login, no streaming. It opens on your phone between sets, on a tablet, or on a laptop, and it stays yours.

10 / By the end of this book

Four things you'll be able to do
by the last page.

Not feelings. Capabilities, each one with a way to check whether you actually have it.

Measure your own chest properly

Depth and severity, taken the same way every time, so month six actually compares to month one instead of coming down to whether the bathroom light was kind that day.

Check yourself You can state your own depth in centimetres without guessing.

Run a vacuum bell session that does something

The right size for your chest, the right suction, the warm-up that goes before it, and what to change when the skin complains. Seventeen chapters go into this one method.

Check yourself You know what tonight's session is, and why it changed from last week.

Train without making the dip look deeper

Which lifts pull your shoulders forward and deepen the shadow, what replaces them, and how to build the chest and back around the dent so it stops being the first thing anyone sees.

Check yourself You can name the lifts you dropped and what went in their place.

Stop the chest running the room

The psychological part is six chapters, not a footnote: the hiding, the changing room, the beach, dating, and what to actually say to someone who comments on it.

Check yourself You got changed somewhere public this month without planning it first.

I had it myself
From the founder

I'm not writing this as a doctor looking at a scan. I had the sunken chest, the flared ribs, the shirt that stayed on at the pool, and nobody could tell me what actually works.

Everything on this page exists because I needed it to exist ten years ago.

25 years living it.
9+ years helping others.

My pectus excavatum took a heavy toll on my mental health, especially in my teens. Everything changed when I realised I could improve it without surgery. After staying consistent and following a non-surgical plan, my sunken chest and flared ribs became unnoticeable.

In 2015 I founded Mr. Pectus to share my experience and help others with the deformity. Since then I've coached hundreds of people through non-surgical solutions, and this book is everything I've learned, in one place.

15 / FAQ

Common questions.

Who is this e-book for? +

It's for anyone who wants to improve their pectus excavatum non-surgically. It's ideal if you're motivated enough to change your physical appearance for the better.

Do I need prior knowledge to understand it? +

No. You don't need any prior knowledge to follow the book fully - I explain every process in plain, everyday language.

How should I read it? +

It's built to be read linearly the first time. It starts with the basics of pectus excavatum and the most common symptoms, then progresses into the advanced details. After that, focus on the chapters where you most want to improve.

How long until I notice an improvement in my sunken chest? +

That depends on your motivation, your consistency, the severity of your deformity, and your skeletal maturity. Some people see a great improvement within three months, for others it takes six months to a year. For comparison, the Nuss procedure keeps bars in your chest for at least three years. Stay consistent and treat it properly and your chest improves faster - and the training improves your whole physique, not just your chest.

I've read other pectus books before. What makes yours different? +

This isn't just reading material. It includes exercise plans and programs to follow, and it accounts for the psychological effects the deformity is scientifically proven to cause - something most resources skip. It covers everything from A to Z, including what I've seen thousands of people struggle with over the years.

Will I need to buy a vacuum bell? +

No, you don't have to. But with a vacuum bell you'll get the most out of non-surgical therapy. You can camouflage the dip by building muscle around it, and stretching and breathing help too - but the indentation itself only comes out when you pull it out with a vacuum bell. I also share a discount that can save you up to $60 on certain models.

Do I need a gym, or can I train with just my body weight? +

The book includes both bodyweight exercises and gym-based ones. If I had to pick one, I'd recommend weightlifting if you have access to a gym - and I encourage everyone to start building a simple home gym over time.

Can I run this in my home gym? +

Yes. In fact, I recommend every person with pectus build a home gym. I provide substitutions for each exercise, so a lack of equipment is never an excuse. A home gym saves money, keeps you more consistent, and consistency is the single most important thing for improving your deformity.

I have a question that isn't listed here. Where can I reach you? +

Email me at mihail@mrpectus.com any time, or use the contact form on the site. I'll get back to you shortly.
