The Pectus Carinatum
+ Rib Flare Program

For the chest that pushes out in the middle and flares at the bottom. The evidence-based system to flatten the profile and stack the ribcage.

"Carinatum responds to pressure. The flare responds to position. This trains both."

8 min · the system explained

Why the protrusion and the flare travel together - and how to train both at once.

The brace does the reshaping. Training does the framing. Here is the plan.

Balanced, back-led training for PC + rib flare
Trusted by
01 / Two problems, one chest

It pushes out in the middle,
and flares at the bottom.

Most advice treats these as one thing, or the wrong thing. So people grind through generic chest workouts that can make the ridge pop more, and never touch the flare or the posture underneath it.

You've been told to 'just work out' the protrusion away
Muscle cannot push a sternum back in.
Big-pec advice is making it worse
Heaping mass onto a protruding sternum can make it pop more.
Nobody addressed the flare or the posture under it
The flare is a ribcage-position and breathing problem.
You're bracing but the training fights it
Random training can undo brace work.
The advice is vague on what to actually do
Lift? Which lifts? How often? You get a clear 3-phase, 16-week plan with gym and no-equipment tracks, and a Foundation you do every session.
You want proof, not hype
Every claim in the program is cited.
The core idea

The brace reshapes.
Training frames.

Compression bracing reshapes a flexible chest - that is the reshaping. Training's job is the framing: build a balanced, back-led frame, bring the flared ribs down with breathing and anti-extension core, and hold a stacked posture so the protrusion is less prominent and bracing works better. Two levers, one plan, fully cited.

3 phases Stack → Build → Express

Before You Start · Straight Answers

What people ask
before they begin.

The four that come up most, answered the same way I would answer them on a call.

Take the 60-second quiz
How long before I see a change? +

Posture and breathing shift first - most people feel that inside the first few weeks. Visible chest change is slower. In the case log above, Milo saw his first real change at 2 months, Ian at 6, Liam at 9. The programs run 16 weeks because that is roughly how long it takes for the training to show up in the mirror.

Am I too old for this to work? +

Almost certainly not. The clients documented on this page were 22 to 32 when they started. Cartilage does stiffen with age, so progress is slower the older you are - but slower is not the same as stopped. What changes is the timeline, not whether it is worth doing.

Do I need a gym, or can I do this at home? +

Either works. Every program ships with a gym track and a no-equipment track for the same 16 weeks, so you pick the one that matches what you actually have access to. You can switch between them mid-program without losing your place.

Pectus excavatum, carinatum, rib flare - is it the same plan? +

No, and that matters. A sunken chest and a protruding chest need close to opposite work, and rib flare often rides along with both. There is a separate program for each. If you are not sure which one you have, the 60-second quiz sorts it out and points you at the right starting place.

04 / A balanced frame

A chest that reads
balanced, not pushed out.

Mihail Veleski, 11+ years in pectus
Mihail Veleski, 11+ years in pectus
A flatter, less prominent profile
Back-led width and better posture reframe the protrusion so the sternum reads as part of a balanced chest, not the loudest thing on it.
The flare brought down
Trainable breathing and anti-extension core stack the ribcage and pull the bottom ribs in, so the flare at the base settles.
Posture that holds the position
The stacked, tall posture the program trains is the position bracing and breathing are trying to lock in - built to hold on its own.
Bracing that actually pays off
Brace-aware training means the hours you wear the brace translate, instead of being fought by the wrong workout.
A plan you understand
You know what to do, in what order, and why - self-assessment, the Priority Pyramid, and a phased program remove the guesswork.

Mihail Veleski, founder of Mr. Pectus
I had it myself
From the founder

I'm not writing this as a doctor looking at a scan. I had the sunken chest, the flared ribs, the shirt that stayed on at the pool, and nobody could tell me what actually works.

Everything on this page exists because I needed it to exist ten years ago.

08 / Who built this

I had it. I fixed it.
Now I help you do the same.

I'm Mihail Veleski. Pale, skinny, sunken chest, flared ribs, I had it all, and it wrecked my confidence. Years of consistent, non-surgical training made my deformity unnoticeable.

I founded Mr. Pectus to give people the exact path I had to find the hard way, tested on my own body first, then refined every time someone hit a wall I had not planned for.

Train the whole picture,

10 / Honest assessment

Let's be honest about
who this is for.

It's for you if
Both, not one
Your chest pushes out in the middle and flares at the bottom ribs
A balanced frame
You want proportion back, not more size stacked onto the bulge
You brace, or would
And you want training that works with the compression, not against it
One cited plan
Rather than piecing advice together from sources that disagree
Gym or home
Both tracks are written out, so your setup is not the blocker
It's not for you if
Only the protrusion
Half this program would be work your chest does not need
Only the flare
Same problem in reverse; you would be paying for the other half
You expect muscle to flatten
Training reshapes what surrounds the sternum, never the sternum
You want it done for you
The self-assessment is what makes the rest of it fit you

This program never replaces a medical assessment. Carinatum is occasionally linked to connective-tissue or cardiac conditions, so get assessed before starting and before bracing.

12 / FAQ

Common questions.

Can exercise flatten my carinatum? +

No - muscle can't push the sternum back in. The proven lever for the protrusion is compression bracing on a flexible chest. Training balances the frame, fixes the flare, and improves posture so the protrusion is less prominent, and it makes bracing more effective.

Do I have carinatum + rib flare, or just one? +

The self-assessment section walks you through it. If the middle of your chest pushes out AND your bottom ribs flare, this combined program is the right one. If it's only the protrusion, use the Pectus Carinatum Program; if it's only the flare, use the Rib Flare Program.

How important is brace compliance? +

It's the single biggest predictor of correction - hours worn matters more than anything else. Even lower-intensity plans work when worn consistently, which is why the training is built to be brace-aware, not to compete with it.

Will big pecs help or hurt? +

Excess chest mass on a protruding sternum can make it pop more. This program leads with back and posture and trains the chest for tone - a balanced, athletic frame is the goal, not a bigger bulge.

I'm an adult - is bracing still worth it? +

Flexibility and age predict bracing success, so younger, flexible chests respond best. Adults should get a provider assessment; the posture, flare and breathing work in this program help at any age, with or without a brace.

Do I need a gym? +

No. The No-Equipment track uses bodyweight and a band, which is plenty for the back-led, posture-first approach. The gym track is there if you have access to weights.

Should I see a doctor first? +

Yes. Carinatum is occasionally linked to connective-tissue or cardiac conditions, so get assessed before starting and before bracing. The program is education and never overrides your provider.

How do I get access after checkout? +

Instantly. Checkout takes a minute and the link to everything lands in your inbox right after - read it on your phone, tablet or laptop. Lifetime access, free updates, nothing to ship.

What if it is not for me? +

You're covered by a 30-day, no-questions-asked, 100% money-back guarantee. If it isn't what was described, email me for a full refund.
