The two mechanisms behind the bell, and the dose that lifts a sternum.

Why most people use it wrong, and the framework that fixes it.

01 / Why most advice is wrong

You bought the device.
Now you're guessing.

The manufacturer's leaflet tells you how the device works mechanically. It tells you nothing about how to get results, and that gap is where months of progress quietly disappear.

You don't know your suction level
Too little and there's no stimulus; too much and you bruise with no benefit.
You’re unsure how long and how often
Session duration and daily frequency are the biggest levers on outcomes, and almost nobody is told the actual dose.
You can’t read your own skin response
Pink oval vs bruise vs broken capillaries, your skin is telling you whether suction is right.
Your progress stalled and you don’t know why
Plateaus are normal, and fixable.
You don’t know if you’re even a good candidate
Depth, flexibility and age all shape your odds.
You’re piecing it together from forum posts
Contradictory advice from strangers is how people waste a year.
The reframe

The device isn't the variable.
The protocol is.

Get the suction calibration, the dose, the ramp and the plateau strategy right, and the same bell that did "nothing" for a year starts producing measurable lift. This guide is that protocol, every claim referenced.

Before You Start · Straight Answers

What people ask
before they begin.

The four that come up most, answered the same way I would answer them on a call.

Take the 60-second quiz
How long before I see a change? +

Posture and breathing shift first - most people feel that inside the first few weeks. Visible chest change is slower. In the case log above, Milo saw his first real change at 2 months, Ian at 6, Liam at 9. The programs run 16 weeks because that is roughly how long it takes for the training to show up in the mirror.

Am I too old for this to work? +

Almost certainly not. The clients documented on this page were 22 to 32 when they started. Cartilage does stiffen with age, so progress is slower the older you are - but slower is not the same as stopped. What changes is the timeline, not whether it is worth doing.

Do I need a gym, or can I do this at home? +

Either works. Every program ships with a gym track and a no-equipment track for the same 16 weeks, so you pick the one that matches what you actually have access to. You can switch between them mid-program without losing your place.

Pectus excavatum, carinatum, rib flare - is it the same plan? +

No, and that matters. A sunken chest and a protruding chest need close to opposite work, and rib flare often rides along with both. There is a separate program for each. If you are not sure which one you have, the 60-second quiz sorts it out and points you at the right starting place.

04 / What’s inside the guide

From first principles
to overnight use.

Four parts, 21 sections, 420+ citations, understand it, see the evidence, learn the framework, then do it.

  1. Understand: what the bell really does Part 01

What the device actually changes, and the two distinct mechanisms behind sternal lift, so the protocol makes sense instead of being rules to memorise.

  2. The science: what 40+ studies show Part 02

A plain-English review of the real evidence, success rates, what predicts them, and the dose-response relationship that explains why hours win.

  3. Candidate self-test Part 03

Assess your depth, flexibility and age against the evidence to set a realistic expectation before you invest months.

  4. The Vacuum Bell Pyramid Part 04

The framework that orders everything (fit, suction, dose and supporting work) so each layer compounds the next.

  5. Your first session, step by step Part 05

Exactly how to position, seal, set suction and read your skin response on day one, without bruising or guesswork.

  6. The 4-week ramp-up Part 06

A structured build from beginner sessions to therapeutic dose, the safe progression that the box never gives you.

  7. Application, overnight use & plateaus Part 07

Progressing to longer and overnight sessions, plus the specific adjustments that restart progress when it stalls.

05 / Your first month with the guide

A ramp you can
actually follow.

No more guessing the dose, the guide gives you a week-by-week build from first seal to therapeutic sessions.

Get the protocol
Your first session Day 1

Position, seal and set suction correctly, and learn to read the skin response that tells you it’s right.

Acclimate the tissue Week 1

Short, controlled sessions that build tolerance, no bruising, no overdoing it.

Build the dose Weeks 2–3

Progress duration and frequency on the structured ramp, logging your response as you go.

Therapeutic sessions & overnight Week 4

Reach full therapeutic dose and learn how (and when) to add overnight use for more hours.

Mihail Veleski, founder of Mr. Pectus
I had it myself
From the founder

I'm not writing this as a doctor looking at a scan. I had the sunken chest, the flared ribs, the shirt that stayed on at the pool, and nobody could tell me what actually works.

Everything on this page exists because I needed it to exist ten years ago.

08 / Who built this

I had it. I fixed it.
Now I help you do the same.

I'm Mihail Veleski. Pale, skinny, sunken chest, flared ribs, I had it all, and it wrecked my confidence. Years of consistent, non-surgical training made my deformity unnoticeable.

I founded Mr. Pectus to give people the exact path I had to find the hard way, tested on my own body first, then refined every time someone hit a wall I had not planned for.

who this is for.

It's for you if
You already have a bell
Or you are about to, and want to use it correctly from day one

Instead of five contradictory answers from five forum threads
Your realistic odds first
You want to know what to expect before investing months in it
You've stalled
Progress stopped and you need a specific way to restart it
You want it checkable
Every claim traceable to a study you can go and read yourself
It's not for you if
You need the bell itself
This is the protocol for using one, not the device
You want to wing it
The ramp is structured for a reason, and skipping it costs you months
You want it passive
Nothing moves without consistent sessions behind it
You want it done for you

12 / FAQ

Common questions.

Do I need to own a vacuum bell to benefit? +

It’s most useful if you have one or are about to get one, it’s a protocol for using the device. The candidate self-test and the science sections are also valuable while you decide whether the bell is right for you.

How is this different from the free advice online? +

Free advice is scattered and often contradictory. This is one coherent, cited protocol (40+ studies reviewed, a clear framework, and a step-by-step ramp) so you stop stitching together conflicting forum posts.

Will it work for my bell brand? +

Yes. The protocol (fit, suction calibration, dose, ramp and plateau strategy) applies to any vacuum bell. It’s about how you use the device, not which one you own.

I’ve plateaued, will this help? +

Specifically, yes. There’s a dedicated section on why progress stalls and the exact adjustments, suction progression, dose, supporting work, that restart it.

Is it really cited? +

Yes, 420+ references throughout, mapped to claims so you can check the evidence yourself. This isn’t opinion; it’s the literature organised into a usable protocol.

How many hours a day should I be using the bell? +

That’s exactly what the dosing framework answers, session length, sessions per day and suction level, phased from your first week through the long-term ramp. More is not automatically better; the guide shows you the dose that produces change without bruising you out of consistency.

Is vacuum bell therapy safe? What about skin marks? +

Used within sensible pressure and time limits it has a good safety record in the literature, and temporary redness or mild bruising is the most common side effect. The guide covers safety limits, contraindications and skin care explicitly, and tells you when a symptom means stop and see a doctor.

How long until the dip visibly lifts? +

The in-session lift you see under the bell is temporary at first, that’s normal. Lasting change builds over months of consistent dosing; the guide sets realistic phase-by-phase expectations so you don’t quit at week three for the wrong reason.

Am I too old for a vacuum bell? +

Adults respond, more slowly than teens, and the guide is honest about the difference. The candidate self-test weighs your age, chest flexibility and dip shape so you know what to expect before you commit months.

I don't own a bell yet, which one should I get? +

The buying section walks through what actually matters, fit against your chest shape above all. A bell that seals properly beats any brand claim; that’s also why the custom-fitted bell exists for chests that off-the-shelf sizes don’t seal on.

How is this different from the PE course? +

This guide is device mastery: everything about using the bell optimally. The PE course is the full correction system (breathing, training, posture, assessment) with the bell as one module. If the bell is your main tool, start here; if you want the whole method, the course is the bigger step.

How do I get access after checkout? +

Instantly. Checkout takes a minute and the link to everything lands in your inbox right after, read it on your phone, tablet or laptop. Lifetime access, free updates, nothing to ship.

What if it’s not for me? +

You're covered by a 30-day, no-questions-asked, 100% money-back guarantee. If it isn't what was described, email me for a full refund.
